Basketball Game Preview: Southern Nash Firebirds vs. D.H. Conley Vikings + Official Tickets

The Southern Nash Firebirds will face off against the D.H. Conley Vikings at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with seven consecutive losses apiece dating back to last season.

On Wednesday, Southern Nash came up short against Nash Central and fell 75-68.

Southern Nash's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Jaden Hartsfield, who almost dropped a double-double with 16 points and nine rebounds, and Dayson Sanders, who went 7-for-14 to rack up 16 points and eight boards. The game was Hartsfield's third in a row with at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Javean Perry, who posted 15 points in addition to seven boards and five assists.

Meanwhile, D.H. Conley unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 63-53 to Hunt last Tuesday. While the Vikings didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Warriors 12-8 in the first quarter.

Southern Nash will have to contain Cayden Hill as he made an impact in D.H. Conley's last game. He shot 67% from the field on his way to 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Darren Everett, who scored six points and eight rebounds.

Southern Nash's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for D.H. Conley, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.

Southern Nash lost to D.H. Conley at home by a decisive 57-40 margin in their previous matchup back in December of 2024.
