Volleyball Recap: Masconomet Regional Chieftains vs. Chelmsford Lions        
        
		
             Chelmsford typically has all the answers at home, but  on Thursday Masconomet Regional proved too difficult a challenge. They were the clear victor by  a  3-0 margin over the Chelmsford Lions. This was payback for the Chieftains, who suffered  a  3-0  loss the last time these two teams met.
 One reason for the win was Masconomet Regional's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 25-23,  25-17.
 Masconomet Regional got their  win on the backs of several key players, but it was  Jordan Draper out in front who  had eight  digs, three  kills,  and 39  assists. Draper is  on a roll when it comes to  assists, as she's  now  posted 12 or more in the last 17 games she's  played dating back to last season.  Jessica Bonaiuto was another key player,  getting 16  digs, five  kills,  and four  aces.
 She wasn't the only good server: Masconomet Regional  was lethal from the service line and  finished the game with 14  aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Chelmsford only served nine.
 Despite the loss, Chelmsford still got an impressive performance from   Tiffany Vu, who  had 21  digs and five  aces. That's the most  aces  Vu has posted  in her last eight  matches.
 Masconomet Regional's victory bumped their record up to 14-3. As for Chelmsford, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost three of their last four matchups,  which put a noticeable dent in their 12-5 record  this season.
 Masconomet Regional will head out to  face off against Newburyport  at 5:30  p.m.  on Monday. Newburyport will roll in looking for their  fifth straight  win, something Masconomet Regional surely won't give up without a fight. Chelmsford has already played their next contest,  a  3-2  victory against Central Catholic on the 18th.
