Football Recap: Navarre Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Navarre, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They managed a 12-6 victory over the Fort Walton Beach Vikings on Monday. The Raiders haven't had any issues with the Vikings recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

The critical scores for Navarre came from Jamya Bonham and Natalie Busch.

Navarre pushed their record up to 9-5 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 8.7 points on average over those games. As for Fort Walton Beach, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Navarre will challenge Crestview at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Fort Walton Beach, they will square off against Destin at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Vikings are facing the Sharks at the right time seeing as the Sharks are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
