Willow Canyon has been on a difficult stretch since their win on January 21. They lost 8-0 to the Ironwood Eagles on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona soccer rankings (they are ranked 125th, while the Eagles are ranked 15th).

Willow Canyon's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Ironwood, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.

Willow Canyon does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ironwood, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next game, a 4-1 win against Ironwood Ridge on the 12th.
