Basketball Game Preview: Gray's Creek Bears vs. Seventy-First Falcons

Gray's Creek hasn't had much luck against Seventy-First recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Gray's Creek Bears will be playing at home against the Seventy-First Falcons at 6:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Gray's Creek is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They managed a 58-53 victory over Jack Britt last Friday.

Gray's Creek's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Naria Wright led the charge by putting up 13 points and six boards. Tatyana Smith was another key player, earning seven points along with seven rebounds and three steals.

Gray's Creek was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Jack Britt only racked up seven assists.

Meanwhile, Seventy-First was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Saturday as they fell 59-55 to West Charlotte. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Seventy-First's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-6. As for Gray's Creek, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season.

Gray's Creek suffered a grim 70-44 defeat to Seventy-First when the teams last played on January 3rd. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Gray's Creek was down 43-21.
