Baseball Recap: California Takes a Loss

California lost against Ringgold back in March of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Trojans fell just short of the Rams by a score of 10-9.

California has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-7-2 record this season. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the defeats came by an average of only one runs. As for Ringgold, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-8.

Looking ahead, California will host Fort Cherry at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Rangers will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Trojans surely won't give up without a fight. As for Ringgold, they will head out on the road to square off against Mt. Pleasant at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Rams' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Vikings have averaged an impressive 6.9 runs per game this season.
