Baseball Game Preview: Hugo Buffaloes vs. Broken Bow Savages

Hugo hasn't had much luck against Broken Bow recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Hugo Buffaloes will be playing at home against the Broken Bow Savages at 5:00 p.m. Hugo has given up an average of 7.7 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

Hugo lost 11-1 to Byng on Thursday.

Zane Allen made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run. He also put up an RBI, which was his first of the season.

Meanwhile, Broken Bow had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 6-5 W against the Warriors. While the Savages didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-22), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Broken Bow's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Hugo, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.
