Basketball Recap: Chippewa Takes a Loss

Chippewa fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Waynedale on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Waynedale Golden Bears by a score of 49-47. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Chipps of the 58-44 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.

Chippewa's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Waynedale, their victory bumped their record up to 2-4.

Chippewa will head out to take on Smithville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Smithville will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Chippewa surely won't give up without a fight. Waynedale will take on Hillsdale in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
