Football Recap: Highland Comes Up Short

Highland and Centauri squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Highland had to settle for second. They came up short against the Falcons, falling 26-0. Having soared to a lofty 41 points in the game before, the Huskies' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Sean Jarvies was the offensive standout of the matchup as he threw for 110 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also rushed for 32 yards. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in September of 2024. Carson Shawcroft made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.

Highland's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Centauri, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.

Highland does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Centauri, they will square off against Buena Vista at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Demons' defense has only allowed 9.7 points per game this season, so the Falcons' offense will have their work cut out for them.
