Basketball Recap: Piscataway Takes a Loss

After flying high against Marion P. Thomas on Friday, Piscataway came back down to earth. The Piscataway Chiefs fell 52-41 to the Metuchen Bulldogs on Saturday.

Metuchen's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Danny Galligan, who posted 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jason Woods, who put up nine points and seven rebounds.

Piscataway now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Metuchen, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.

Piscataway and Sayreville will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Sayreville knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Piscataway likes a good challenge. Metuchen will take on Governor Livingston in a holiday battle at at 2:00 p.m. on Monday.
