Basketball Game Preview: Modesto Panthers vs. Turlock Bulldogs

Modesto hasn't had much luck against Turlock recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Modesto Panthers will head out on the road to square off against the Turlock Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m.

Modesto is headed into Wednesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 22nd straight game on Monday. They received a blow as they fell 49-33 to Downey.

Pitman typically has all the answers at home, but on Monday Turlock proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Pride, sneaking past 55-52. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bulldogs have posted against the Pride since February 9, 2022.

The win made it two in a row for Turlock and bumps their season record up to 12-14. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.0 points over those games. As for Modesto, their loss dropped their record down to 2-23.

Modesto took a serious blow against Turlock in their previous matchup two weeks ago, falling 81-43. Can Modesto avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
