Basketball Recap: Williamston Takes a Loss

Williamston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 65-60 heartbreaker at the hands of the Holt Rams. If the Hornets were looking for revenge after losing 56-52 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Williamston's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Holt, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-8 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Williamston will challenge Fowlerville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Holt, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on DeWitt at 7:00 p.m. on January 24th.
