Basketball Game Preview: Mt. Rainier Rams vs. Tahoma Bears

Mt. Rainier and Tahoma are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2018, but not for long. The Mt. Rainier Rams will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Tahoma Bears at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Tahoma is facing Mt. Rainier at the wrong time: Mt. Rainier suffered their first home loss of the season on Monday and they're likely out for redemption. They came up short against the Trojans, falling 81-57. The loss was the Rams' first of the season.

Despite the loss, Mt. Rainier had strong showings from Mason Emil, who went 7 for 10 on his way to 18 points and six rebounds, and Jayden Dolce, who went 7 of 12 on his way to 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nathenael Abdi, who posted six points in addition to six rebounds and five assists.

Meanwhile, Tahoma was beaten by Kentwood 93-66 on Monday.

Tahoma now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Mt. Rainier, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-1.
