Basketball Game Preview: Cosby Titans vs. Richmond City School of the Arts Bulldogs

Cosby is 8-2 against Richmond City School of the Arts since January of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Cosby Titans will host the Richmond City School of the Arts Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. The timing is sure in Cosby's favor as the squad sits on four straight wins at home while Richmond City School of the Arts has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.

On Saturday, Cosby didn't have too much trouble with Midlothian as they won 63-48. Given the Titans' advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 107th, while the Trojans are ranked 285th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Richmond City School of the Arts ended up a good deal behind Manchester on Saturday and lost 63-46.

Cosby will have to contain Lewis Mallory as he made an impact in Richmond City School of the Arts' last game. He posted 28 points. Jermaine Brown was another key player, putting up ten points.

Cosby has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 9-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.8 points over those games. As for Richmond City School of the Arts, their loss dropped their record down to 2-13.

Everything came up roses for Cosby against Richmond City School of the Arts in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, as the team secured a 66-35 victory.
