Softball Recap: Sitka Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Sitka had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They lost 13-3 to the Nampa Bulldogs on Friday.

Vada West made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, one triple, and one double. Another player making a difference was Sadie Saline, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3.

The win was the fourth in a row for Nampa, bringing their record up to 10-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sitka will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on Mountain View at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Nampa, they will welcome Borah at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
