Baseball Game Preview: Muncie Central Bearcats vs. Anderson Indians

Muncie Central hasn't had much luck against Anderson recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Bearcats will head out on the road to face off against the Indians at 5:30 p.m. Muncie Central has given up an average of 10.8 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Muncie Central is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They lost 15-9 to Monroe Central on Friday. The Bearcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Fletcher Kahle was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. That stolen base was his first of the season.

Western hit Anderson with a six-run seventh inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Indians came up short against the Panthers, falling 14-8.

Cole Roberts made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Kadyn Kendall was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

Muncie Central's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Anderson, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-7.

Muncie Central might still be hurting after the 11-5 loss they got from Anderson when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Can the Bearcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
