Basketball Recap: Emery Haws Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Pineville

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Varsity Opponent, Tri-Cities Christian was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Pineville Mountain Lions with a sharp 65-41 victory. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Eagles had established a 22 point advantage.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Tri-Cities Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Emery Haws, who went 8 of 20 on her way to 22 points and three steals. Haws is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Faith Greene, who posted 19 points.

Tri-Cities Christian's win bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Pineville, they now have a losing record at 8-9.

Tri-Cities Christian and Carolina Day will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. Pineville has already played their next game (against Wayne County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
