Softball Recap: Joseph City Wildcats vs. Bagdad Sultans

Joseph City put the finishing touches on their 18th blowout victory of the season on Monday. Everything went their way against the Bagdad Sultans as the Joseph City Wildcats made off with a 26-4 victory. The win was familiar territory for Joseph City who now have 14 in a row.

Kayle James made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. James has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 12 consecutive pitching appearances. James was also big at the plate, going 3-for-5 with a home run, four runs, and five RBI.

In other batting news, Joseph City let Audrey Neill and April Neill loose on the outfield. Neill went 4-for-4 with a home run, five RBI, and three runs, while Neill fired off two home runs, four runs, and three RBI while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. Neill has been hot recently, having posted three or more hits the last three times she's played. Maddy Powers was another key contributor, going 2-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and a triple.
