Football Recap: Hardee Comes Up Short

Hardee and Frostproof squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Hardee had to settle for second. They were outmatched by the Bulldogs and fell 56-14. The Wildcats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-14.

When it comes to explaining why Hardee lost, don't look at Dariyon Watson. Despite the final result, he rushed for 120 yards, and also picked up 53 receiving yards. Watson showed off some serious burst, cutting upfield on a catch for 53 yards.

Hardee's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Frostproof, their victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-3.

Hardee does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Frostproof, they will take on Space Coast at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Vipers' defense has only allowed 8.6 points per game this season, so the Bulldogs' offense will have their work cut out for them.
