Football Recap: East Meadow Comes Up Short

East Meadow fell victim to Garden City and their airtight defense on Saturday. They were beaten by the Trojans 42-0. While losing is never fun, the Jets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 195th, while the Trojans are ranked eighth).

Having lost for the first time this season, East Meadow fell to 2-1. As for Garden City, their win bumped their record up to 3-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. East Meadow will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Baldwin at 2:00 p.m. on October 11. As for Garden City, they will face off against MacArthur on Saturday.
