Basketball Game Preview: Grand Meadow Superlarks vs. Kingsland Knights

Grand Meadow is 2-8 against Kingsland since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Grand Meadow Superlarks will head out on the road to square off against the Kingsland Knights at 7:15 p.m.

Grand Meadow is headed into Monday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Friday. They took a 43-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lanesboro.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Kingsland, who bounced back after a loss on the road back in December of 2024. They rang in the new year with a 64-52 win over LeRoy-Ostrander on Friday.

Grand Meadow better keep an eye on Max Erdman. He was instrumental in Kingsland's win, shooting 5-for-9 from deep and dropping a double-double on 29 points and 15 boards. That's the most rebounds Erdman has posted since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Parker Johnson, who went 8 of 14 on his way to 20 points.

Kingsland smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in four consecutive matchups.

Kingsland's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-4. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.7 points per game. As for Grand Meadow, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.

Grand Meadow suffered a grim 72-50 defeat to Kingsland in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Erdman, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 11 boards.
