Baseball Preview: North Central Knights vs. Lancaster Bruins
The North Central Knights will head out to face off against the Lancaster Bruins at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. North Central comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
North Central lost 13-3 to Buford on Friday.
North Central saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bj Elliott, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Patton Hood also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
Meanwhile, Lancaster posted their closest victory since March 20, 2024 on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Camden, sneaking past 6-4. The win was some much needed relief for the Bruins as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Simeon Strother was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two). Parker McGee was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
Lancaster kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
North Central's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Lancaster, their victory bumped their record up to 6-7.
