Basketball Recap: Greenfield Piles Up the Points Against Living Water Christian

You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Greenfield's strategy against Living Water Christian on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Knights blew the Warriors out of the water with an 81-46 final score. With the Knights ahead 54-29 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Greenfield's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kobe Edwards, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and ten assists. What's more, Edwards posted five boards, the most he's had since back in December of 2024. Donovan Dickens was another key player, shooting 50% from the field en route to 14 points and three steals.

Greenfield has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 69.5 points this season. As for Living Water Christian, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Greenfield didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, an 88-47 win against Southern Wake Academy on the 15th. As for Living Water Christian, they will face off against New Bern Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
