Basketball Game Preview: West Panthers vs. Skyline Eagles

Two dominant guards in Kylee Falatea and Leelu Bare are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The West Panthers will be playing at home against the Skyline Eagles at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (West has 19 straight wins, Skyline has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

West is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took their game on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 93-28 victory over East. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matches by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Skyline was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 52-46 to East.

West will need focus on slowing down Norah Pearce, one of several Skyline players who made an impact when they last played. She posted eight points and three blocks. The dominant performance gave Pearce a new career-high in points. Eve Sanders was another key player, putting up four points and 13 rebounds.

West pushed their record up to 19-0 with the win, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 35.4 points. As for Skyline, their loss dropped their record down to 5-15.

Everything came up roses for West against Skyline when the teams last played back in January, as the team secured an 86-35 victory. In that contest, West amassed a halftime lead of 38-16, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
