Soccer Recap: Wade Hampton Extends Winning Streak to Six

Wade Hampton won the last time they faced Boiling Springs and things went their way on Thursday too. The Wade Hampton Generals walked away with a 4-2 victory over the Boiling Springs Bulldogs. Given the Generals' advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked seventh, while the Bulldogs are ranked 69th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The win (which was Wade Hampton's sixth in a row) raised their record to 6-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 19 goals over those six contests. As for Boiling Springs, they dropped their record down to 1-5 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wade Hampton will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Dorman at 7:00 p.m. on March 24th. As for Boiling Springs, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Gaffney at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
