Soccer Game Preview: Kingsbury vs. Crosstown

The Kingsbury Falcons will take on the Crosstown Explorers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Kingsbury will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Kingsbury had to skate by with only a one-goal margin when they last took the pitch, which might have inspired the six-goal drubbing they dealt Germantown on Tuesday. Kingsbury put the hurt on Germantown with a sharp 7-1 victory. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for Kingsbury considering their one-goal performance the contest before.

Meanwhile, after soaring to ten goals the game before, Crosstown was a bit more limited in their matchup on Tuesday. They fell just short of Lakeland Preparatory by a score of 2-1. The loss put an end to Crosstown's undefeated start to the season.

Their goal came courtesy of Joan Marquez, who's now up to three this season.

Kingsbury pushed their record up to 4-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 20 goals over those four games. As for Crosstown, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1-1.

Kingsbury beat Crosstown 2-0 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Will Kingsbury repeat their success, or does Crosstown has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
