Mabton came tearing into Friday's game with 12 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 38.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They claimed a resounding 67-4 win over the Granger Spartans. Given the Vikings' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 50th, while the Spartans are ranked 342nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Mabton's victory was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-1. As for Granger, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 11 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-14 record this season.

Mabton won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Tri-Cities Prep at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. Mabton knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 14 games -- so hopefully Tri-Cities Prep likes a good challenge. As for Granger, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll take on Connell at 5:45 p.m. on Saturday.
