Game recap: Ridge High School Football Team wins against Cranford

BASKING RIDGE, N.J. -
Liam Derkasch ran for two touchdowns and
Matthew Soulas added two as well as
Ridge (Basking Ridge, N.J.) bested
Cranford (N.J.) 49-28 on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a
Conor Hughes touchdown run in the second quarter, the Red Devils were up 28-14 at the half.
Ridge expanded its lead to 20 points entering the fourth quarter. RHS's lone score in the quarter came on a touchdown.
With the win the Basking Ridge school extended its winning streak to seven games. Ridge defeated Plainfield 48-12 last week.
The defeat comes as a step back for Cranford, who notched a 34-14 victory over Scotch Plains-Fanwood in its previous outing.
