Baseball Recap: St. Henry Gets the Win

St. Henry took a seven-run loss the last time they faced off against Lawrenceburg, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Crusaders won by a run and slipped past the Tigers 2-1. For the Crusaders, this counts as revenge for the 8-1 win the Tigers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2018.

The victory made it two in a row for St. Henry and bumps their season record up to 6-14. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of one runs across that stretch. As for Lawrenceburg, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Henry will challenge Dixie Heights at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Colonels will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Crusaders surely won't give up without a fight. As for Lawrenceburg, they will venture away from home to challenge Connersville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
