Basketball Recap: Boulder Drops Season-High Score on Prairie View

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Boulder). They took their contest on Thursday with ease, bagging an 85-26 win over the Prairie View Thunderhawks. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Leading Boulder to victory were Megan Matthews and Lexi Oder. Matthews went 6-for-10 from beyond the arc to rack up 35 points along with eight boards and six steals, while Oder dropped a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds. Matthews is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 11 games she's played. Neva Woodson was another key player, putting up six points and five steals.

Boulder smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 44 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

The win made it two in a row for Boulder and bumps their season record up to 14-8. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.5 points over those games. As for Prairie View, they are on a 17-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-22.

Looking ahead, Boulder will challenge Legacy at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Prairie View does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
