Baseball Game Preview: Eisenhower Cadets vs. Wenatchee Panthers

The Eisenhower Cadets will head out to challenge the Wenatchee Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Eisenhower has struggled recently with seven losses in a row, while Wenatchee will arrive with three straight victories.

Friday just wasn't the day for Eisenhower's offense. They came up short against Moses Lake on Friday, falling 10-0. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Cadets were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wenatchee). They put the hurt on Sunnyside with a sharp 22-1 win on Friday. With that victory, the Panthers brought their scoring average up to 7.4 runs per game.

Owen Ervin was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with six stolen bases, five runs, and one triple. Those six stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Griffin Butler was another key player, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with four runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Wenatchee always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .610. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Eisenhower's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Wenatchee, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

Eisenhower couldn't quite get it done against Wenatchee in their previous matchup back in April of 2025 as they fell 8-4. Can the Cadets avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
