Recap: Hilton Head Island Seahawks vs. Hampton County Hurricanes
After losing to the Hampton County Hurricanes the last time they met, the Hilton Head Island Seahawks decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Hilton Head Island came out on top against Hampton County by a score of 47-37 on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back wins for Hilton Head Island.
Among those leading the charge was Leah Jackson, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 16 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Hilton Head Island's points. Another player making a difference was Deja Godsun, who scored ten points along with three steals.
Hilton Head Island's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Hampton County, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-4.
Hilton Head Island will head out on the road to face off against Brunswick at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hampton County, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Battery Creek at 6:30 p.m. on December 15th. Battery Creek is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
