Basketball Recap: Kade Milleville's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Altamont over Newton

Altamont was the 59-44 winner over Newton when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Indians took a 55-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles on Tuesday.

Altamont's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kade Milleville, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and ten boards. Milleville is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last eight games he's played dating back to last season. Jacob Johnson was another key player, putting up six points and six rebounds.

Altamont's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Newton, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1.

Coming up, Altamont will be playing at home against Farina South Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Newton, they will head out on the road to square off against North Clay at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
