Softball Recap: Ida Baker Takes a Loss

Ida Baker was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Cape Coral Seahawks, falling 16-2. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Seahawks apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Jaslene Rosado was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 1-for-2. Karina Medina also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Ida Baker's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Cape Coral, the victory (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 12-3.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Seahawks beat Ida Baker by a score of 18-10 on Thursday.
