Football Game Preview: Mohave Thunderbirds vs. ALA - West Foothills Guardians + How To Watch

Mohave is on a three-game streak of home wins, while ALA - West Foothills is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Thunderbirds will welcome the Guardians at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Mohave's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points in their last six games.

Mohave is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They came out on top against Northwest Christian by a score of 42-34.

The match pitted two dominant signal callers against one another in Joe Yoney and Laki Wallwork. Yoney had a great game and threw for 228 yards and three TDs. Meanwhile, Wallwork was balling out in the loss, throwing for 192 yards and three touchdowns, while also rushing for 94 yards and one score on only 12 carries.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Mohave's defensive line and their five sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Gavin Holmes and Anthony Moses, who racked up all five sacks between them.

Meanwhile, ALA - West Foothills was not the first on the board on Friday, but they got there more often. Everything went their way against Combs as they made off with a 34-14 victory. The result was nothing new for the Guardians, who have now won five contests by 20 points or more so far this season.

Mohave better keep an eye on Kenyon Rosenthal. He was instrumental in ALA - West Foothills' win, rushing for 212 yards and a pair of TDs. Rosenthal is becoming a predictor of the Guardians' success: when he posts at least 100 rushing yards the team is 7-2 (and 1-2 when he doesn't). Kingston Conn was in the mix too, providing ALA - West Foothills with one touchdown.

Mohave's win bumped their record up to 9-2. As for ALA - West Foothills, their victory bumped their record up to 8-4.
