Tremont came tearing into Monday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25 points) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Heyworth Hornets 69-36. Given the Turks' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 115th, while the Hornets are ranked 337th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Tremont's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 24-4. As for Heyworth, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-14 record this season.
