Basketball Recap: Rio Vista Victorious

Meridian came into Tuesday's contest looking for another win against Rio Vista, but Dawson Macklin wouldn't allow it. The Rio Vista Eagles skirted past the Meridian Yellowjackets 67-65 thanks in part to Macklin, who dropped a double-double on 36 points and 12 boards. Those 36 points gave him a new career-high.

The win got Rio Vista back to even at 13-13. As for Meridian, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 15-9.

Rio Vista will be playing at home against Bosqueville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Meridian, they will venture away from home to square off against Valley Mills at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meridian is facing Valley Mills at the right time seeing as Valley Mills is stuck on a 17-game losing streak.
