Softball Recap: Glenvar Has No Trouble Against James River

Glenvar barely beat James River the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Highlanders were the clear victors by a 12-5 margin over the Knights on Wednesday. The Highlanders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by six runs or more this season.

Glenvar is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. As for James River, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-7.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Glenvar is set to face off against their familiar foe Floyd County at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, James River will take on rival Radford at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
