Soccer Recap: Roaring Fork Takes a Loss

If Roaring Fork was riding high fresh off their 8-1 takedown of Grand Junction Central last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Rams fell just short of the Basalt Longhorns by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. The matchup was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but Roaring Fork couldn't quite close it out.

Their goal came courtesy of Cal Stone, who's now up to eight this season.

Roaring Fork's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-2-1. As for Basalt, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-5-1.

Roaring Fork has already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Delta on the 2nd. As for Basalt, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 6-0 defeat against Vail Mountain on the 2nd.
