It was a good run, but Appalachian unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Monday. They received a blow as they fell 52-37 to the Pennington Tigers. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 42-39 back in November of 2024.

Appalachian's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Pennington, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.

Appalachian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 50-26 win against Coosa Christian on the 14th. As for Pennington, they will face off against Vinemont at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Vinemont will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Pennington surely won't give up without a fight.
