Softball Recap: Ryle Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Ryle fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Milan on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Indians by a score of 9-8. The Raiders were not able to make up for their loss to the Indians from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Kiley Patterson made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one home run and five RBI. Makenna Hirshey also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Ryle's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-3-1. As for Milan, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ryle will face off against Boone County at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Milan, they will take on Jac-Cen-Del at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
