Recap: Our Lady of the Rosary Lions vs. Richard Winn Academy Eagles
The Our Lady of the Rosary Lions can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They secured a 41-37 W over Richard Winn Academy. The victory was all the more spectacular given Our Lady of the Rosary's disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 232nd, while Richard Winn Academy is ranked 109th).
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Miller Stuck, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Stuck hasn't dropped below two steals for eight straight games. Drew Spires was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with three steals.
The victory got Our Lady of the Rosary back to even at 5-5. As for Richard Winn Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-1-1.
Our Lady of the Rosary will head out on the road to face off against King Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Richard Winn Academy won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Oconee Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on January 6th.
