Baseball Recap: Chapel Hill Comes Up Short

Chapel Hill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They lost 13-3 to Kilgore. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Kilgore this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-2 last Tuesday.

Chapel Hill saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chandler Lawson, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Chapel Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 4-18-1. As for Kilgore, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-12-1 record this season.

Chapel Hill wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 12-1 win against Cumberland Academy on the 8th. As for Kilgore, they have also already played their next game, a 5-1 loss against Spring Hill on the 8th.
