Preview: Victoria Knights vs. South Central Timberwolves
The Victoria Knights will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against the South Central Timberwolves at 7:00 p.m. on November 17th. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Victoria had no problem doing just that on Friday. They blew past Dighton 66-20 on the road. Victoria pushed the score to 50-20 by the end of the third, a deficit Dighton had little chance of recovering from.
Meanwhile, South Central faced Minneola in a battle between two of the state's top teams. South Central beat Minneola on Friday by the very same score they won with last week: 58-12. Winning may never get old, but South Central sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
JT Prusa continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 286 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 9.9 yards per carry. Prusa has been hot recently, having posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last five times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Coda Lindsay, who rushed for 82 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries.
Their wins bumped Victoria to 9-1 and South Central to 8-3.
