Football Game Preview: Mars Hill Bible Panthers vs. Rogers Pirates + How To Watch

After each having a week off, the Mars Hill Bible Panthers and the Rogers Pirates will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mars Hill Bible is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

It was a proper cat-fight when Mars Hill Bible duked it out with Lauderdale County last Friday. The Panthers took their matchup with ease, bagging a 42-7 win over the Tigers. The 42-point effort marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Hudson Higgins produced another solid effort rushing for 127 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries, while also picking up 38 receiving yards. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, forcing one fumble and making eight total tackles.

Higgins was just one part of a punishing run game: Mars Hill Bible was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 337 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 267 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Meanwhile, Rogers came up short against Colbert County last Friday and fell 42-35.

Rogers' defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-2. As for Mars Hill Bible, their victory bumped their record up to 5-0.

Everything came up roses for Mars Hill Bible against Rogers in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 42-7 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
