Despite the defeat, Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Calvin Lieu had 24 digs. Lieu is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had 19 or more in each of the last five games he's played.
Meanwhile, Lewis came up short against Edison on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Lancers have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
The match came down to the wire multiple times:two sets needed extra rallies to declare a winner. The final score came out to 25-19, 26-24, 26-24.
Lewis' loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-6.
