Springfield waltzed into their contest on Monday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Tri-City Tornadoes. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Senators also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Springfield easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-20.

Rachel Becker paced Springfield's offense, picking up ten kills. Becker were helped by Addi Maddox and Franny VonDeBur, who contributed 13 assists each.

Springfield's victory bumped their record up to 18-4. As for Tri-City, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-19.

Coming up, Springfield will square off against Rochester at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tri-City, they will head out on the road to take on South County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
