Soccer Game Preview: North Hollywood vs. Monroe

The North Hollywood Huskies will challenge the Monroe Vikings at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. North Hollywood's last six matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

North Hollywood's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They had just enough and edged Verdugo Hills out 1-0. The result kept the Huskies happy, as they haven't lost a game since December 28, 2024.

Meanwhile, Monroe's game on Monday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Chavez. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 975th, while the Eagles are ranked 388th).

Monroe has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11-3 record this season. As for North Hollywood, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 4-8-3 record this season.
