Basketball Game Preview: Oaks The Mighty Oaks vs. Crenshaw Christian Academy Cougars

The Oaks The Mighty Oaks will challenge the Crenshaw Christian Academy Cougars at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The timing is sure in Oaks' favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while Crenshaw Christian Academy has been banged up by 11 consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.

Last Friday, Oaks beat Abbeville Christian Academy 68-61. The win was all the more spectacular given the The Mighty Oaks' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 386th, while the Generals are ranked 146th).

It was another big night for Joey Allen, who posted 27 points. That's the most points he has posted since back in December of 2023. Israel Paul was another key player, putting up 16 points.

Meanwhile, Crenshaw Christian Academy played a tough game on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 94-39 loss at the hands of Abbeville Christian Academy. The Cougars were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 62-32.

Crenshaw Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Oaks, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 9-6 record this season.

Oaks was able to grind out a solid victory over Crenshaw Christian Academy when the teams last played on January 2nd, winning 59-50. Will Oaks repeat their success, or does Crenshaw Christian Academy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
