Baseball Recap: South Finds Playoff Glory Versus Sonora

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but South had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They didn't even let the Sonora Raiders on the board, marking their second-straight 2-0 shutout. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Spartans.

South saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hayden Nelson, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

South's record is now 17-13. As for Sonora, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 17-13.

Coming up, South will take on Pacifica at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. The Tritons will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Spartans surely won't give up without a fight. Sonora does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
